Guest thistles and gum trees Posted May 7, 2007 Share Posted May 7, 2007 Hi Lilli, My daughter is 12 years old and I will get her to drop you a line in the morning - its 11.05pm here! We are moving to Victoria (2-3 hours from Melbourne) in 5 months. She is a bit nervous but really excited too! She is in Year 7 and will go into year 8 here in September but will have to go back a few months when we get to Oz as she will have to finish year 7 in December and then move up again to year 8 in January - its a funny system isn't it. She was a little unsure about leaving everyone behind, but she's made new friends here and still keeps in touch with people by msn or email. I am sad to leave my grandparents and my friends but excited that i will make new friends. I dont quite know which school i'm going to yet as my mum and dad had decided but now they think they want to visit the schools first. I like music (I had my grade 2 piano exam today and I have my grade 2 violin tomorrow) and drama and I am in a show in June. It will be at a big outdoor theatre (I live in Cyprus) and it will be really fun. It is called Esther (from the book in the bible) and I play a Jewish child.
