Have heard all sorts about moving mattresses, about how you shouldn't because being stood on their ends for a month is bad for them. Trouble is, just had to buy one and am reluctant to leave it behind if it will fit in the container.

Anyone have any experiences?

Go on, tell me it is all nonsence, please!

Think most of the problems are to do with the things being manhandled and bent and things, but I am sure removals folks have mentioned it being bad to stand them for long periods of time.

Soz! Hope it is not a problem!

Worry no more - We moved here in January - container arrived in March with 2 mattresses and both were fine. The packers wrapped them really well. Ours were stood for 3 months on the container.

I'm not a mattress expert but they seem ok to me

Spooky :wideeyed:

this has been one of our conversations this week end

our mattress is only a year old and we made sure we got a good one

we have a wooden bed frame, daughter has fairly new pine bedroom furniture.....

and this may be a stoopid question  but are bed sizes the same in Oz,

will we be able to buy a replacement mattress of the same size?
