Trying to find someone to sponsor you is very difficult, I am an insurance broker with 15 years experience, but all sponsorship seems to be in construction etc at the moment. I can paint and put up wall-paper - well I think it looks ok but that is about it on the old DIY construction stuff. Where did you find the positions you stated? It is lovely and sunny down in St Ives today, long may this warm weather continue, we can actully sit out in the garden in the evening as well so all is good. Guest HilaryRoberts
Hello Lyn I have used the following website to find vacancies in the insurance industry - mailto:support@nextstepaustralia.com, you have to register your cv but they send you details of companies/agencies looking for employees, no luck on the 457 visa yet but I always send off my covering letter when I respond to them and have made some nice contacts. It may help you, they have vacancies all over Australia but you can refine your search to a certain area. Good luck with the search, there are quite a lot of insurance vacancies out there and I have been loggin on to the big companies over there and looking at their vacacnies websites - Aon, Marsh etc, the team does respond to you and will call you if they think they have anything suitable on the broker side, if you are an underwriter then QBE are pretty good and will respond if they have anything suitable. Take care Hilary  Hi I am looking for some help I currently work within the Insurance Industry and also corporate finance, I am looking for a sponsorship 457 and wonder if anyone has any advice to help? Guest l7nse7m
Hillary Thanks very much that is soo helpful, I will give this a go, I have tried targeting the larger firms direct and logged my details with them. I tried QBE a few years back and they advised they didn't do the 457 - but hey I may just try again! Hopefully something will come up fingers crossed!! Thanks again!
Guest HilaryRoberts
No worries, speaking of Next Step (Link Me) I have just received an e-mail from them with about 5 jobs that look really interesting, they don't hassel you or bombard you with loads of rubbish. Do you have insurance qualifications? If not I can give you some other people to contact to help you with that sort of information. Nearly home time for me - whoo hoo, down on the beach with the dog for a paddle. Saz
Hey, I know this is a long time down the line, but do you still know anyone in the Perth area that is willing to sponsor a hardworking Brickie. We have been trying to get a sponsor for a 457 visa for getting on for a year. Twice people have said they will do it & when it comes to the crunch they have pulled out. I have a lot of family in the Rockingham area of W/A, so a quick move would be easy for us we have plenty of places to stay. Living in hope Saz
