merlino
Hi, I plan to apply for the SRS 475 visa. If my nominated occupation is not the same as my current occupation - which I have worked as for > 2 years and would have met the 12 out of 24 months of recent work experience, will this still be acceptable? I plan to nominate Graphic Designer, and have the relevant qualifications for it. I have work experience as a Sys Admin. Please help? Thanks! You can nominate one skilled occupation and claim work experience in a different skilled occupation. I assume that by Sys Admin you are referring to the skilled occupation with ASCO Code 2231-11. In the absence of a relevant skills assessment, or even with one, you would have to satisfy DIAC that you were competently performing the usual duties the occupation for a qualifying period. Be careful. All the best Westly Russell Registered Migration Agent Number 0316072 http://www.pinoyau.com/
merlino
ASCO Code 2231-11 = Systems Manager. Yes, I believe that my current occupation would reflect this. I cannot nominate this occupation as I do not have sufficient qualifications for this to provide to ACS. Instead I am nominating ASCO Code 2533-13 = Graphic Designer. I have have worked for 2+ years in this job, and continue doing so. I believe this would have satisfied the qualifying period? When you me mention usual duties, do you mean the following (From: http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/475/eligibility-work-experience-study.htm)? Your work experience references must meet the following requirements: the reference should show the official letterhead of the company or government department providing the reference the letterhead should indicate clearly the full address of the company and any telephone, fax numbers, email and website addresses the name and position of the person authorised to sign the employment reference should be typed or stamped below that person's signature – a reference with an illegible signature will not be accepted the direct contact number of the person writing the reference should be included in the letter the letter should indicate the exact period of employment, including whether permanent or temporary, full or part time, position/s held, the main five (5) duties undertaken, and the salary earned – positions should not be described by generic titles (for example, research officer, public servant) but according to the nature of the duties undertaken (for example, research chemist, accounts clerk) [*]a payslip from your current employment should also be included – this is especially important for applicants working in government departments. Other documents which may assist you in evidencing your work experience claims could include, but are not limited to: contracts pay slips tax returns group certificates superannuation information. merlino
wrussel: Thanks. From what you have posted my best guess is that you will be in (probably fatal) trouble satisfying the recent work experience criterion and you should discuss your options with a professional. Why do you say that? One of the Evidences required for the Work Experience Criteria mentioned the following: the letter should indicate the exact period of employment, including whether permanent or temporary, full or part time, position/s held, the main five (5) duties undertaken, and the salary earned – positions should not be described by generic titles (for example, research officer, public servant) but according to the nature of the duties undertaken (for example, research chemist, accounts clerk)
Etienne
Is salaries earned at previous employment very important? I did scan a letter stating my recent salary increase of my current employment, as well as recent salary slips and bank statements showing the salary paid into my account. But is all of this really required for past employment??
