Guest Ivan Posted December 9, 2008 Share Posted December 9, 2008 :arghh: Hi everyone, we have just relocated to Perth which is great and we are having a great time, top place but please please beware when travelling to australia via a particular airline that has a kangaroo on the plane. We were told by a quantas rep having purchased a one way ticket and having an unstamped visa, we would be entitled to 40kg baggage only to get to check in at manchester to find that its not the case, we could only have 20kg, tried to resolve the matter but they would not budge and it cost £550 extra. we got charged twice, once by British Airways as they were the charter from manchester to heathrow and by Quantas. I have complained about this but it fell on deaf ears. So guys, the morale of the tale is Be Careful and dont believe evrything you get told even if it is a rep, apart from that, the weather is great and evryone is really helpful, well nearly everyone.
