Import of North American Car

Is there any problem with importing a car from North America? I ask because we drive on the right and Aussies drive on the left, hence the steering wheel location is different.

Yes big problems - unless the car is over 30 years old you will not be able to drive the car unless it has been converted to RHD cost $40,000.00 Plus And it must pass the ADR as well - go here to see what is involved

An other problem is spare parts - they will have to come in from the US except engines and gearboxs all other parts can take 3 months to arrive by ship.

 

So you know what cost involved A new c6 corvette runs about $200,000 in Sydney New GT Mustang about $180,000. pick up trucks about $100000

 

 

 

NB I have two Yank tanks as toys a 68 Impala convertible and 65 Ford galaxie which is LHD but legal
