Guest rainbow Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 We are narrowing down our suburb search to catchment areas of Oberthur PS (Bull Creek), Bateman PS and Lynwood PS- because these seem to be the only southern suburbs that have Chinese as their LOTE subjects (I'll be working in Armadale) and we are Singaporeans (Chinese by descent), currently in the UK However, the SHSs that are offering Chinese as a LOTE in the south are Rossmoyne and Lynwood. How does it work when your little ones go from PS to SHS? If you were to stick to the SHS serving the catchment areas of your PS, won't they possibly end up with a different LOTE subject for the SHS of that area? Did you have to put your children on the waiting list even for kindy? Mine will only start kindy in 2 years time, but I've heard of waiting lists from mums in the other states. Oberthur seems to be the better PS amongst the 3, so we're aiming for that. Many thanks x
ali Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 /rossymoyne sticks to it's catchment area quite strictly, I'm sure if you contact the school (or discuss it with them once you're here), they'll be able to give you more information. Ali
