Rob Frain
Just a quick one on here. Looking at a movecube and Im sure the prices have gone up dramatically? Im looking at £2100 to ship it there and then another $3000AUD "destination" charges?!?! Quite insane prices???
rammygirl
Yup freight charges have gone up again due to attacks in the Red Sea. The main container ships are now having to take massive detours, taking much longer and therefore costing more. Destination charges will vary on where you are shipping to.

I'd compare those prices with a 20ft container considering how much more you can ship in a container, and then you won't need buy a load of new furniture once you arrive here. Jarp
That is pretty insane. Complete removal ex Netherlands is around 8k. Shipping container Ham-Mel is around 2.5k (no clearing/handling in Aus calculated).
Rob Frain
Same again. Trying to find prices and hearing so many negatives and positives from so many companies.
JZT
We had a great experience with John Mason in 2023. Delivery from England to Adelaide was around 50 days, the service both sides was really good. Cost was £8.5k for a 20ft container, no extra charges from what we were quoted.
Cath.C
Any insurance companies insuring for losses due to terrorism if your goods were on a shipment that didn't detour and got targeted?
Rob Frain
So we have had the sheets out for the movecube and we "could" get away with a large movecube possibly - however, we want to see if any company will give us a quote for something slightly larger than a large movecube. It would be good if Movecube did a "Huge" movecube!!! We don't need a 20ft container as that'll be a waste. Its £2000 for a medium movecube with no insurance and £4000 for a large - again no insurance. I've got a quote from Doree Bonner for £6930 for 750ft cubed?? and PSS International has said £3893 for a 3-bedroom house?! John Mason's website said it would be free - so the website doesnt work as expected!!!
