FirstWorldProblems
For Australian citizens most (but not all) courses are subsidised. The fees vary by course but pretty representative is the $9527p.a. 2020 fee for a computer science degree at Sydney Uni, which is almost half the UK cost. If you are not a citizen then it's going to be above $30,000 p.a. There are a variety of loans available to Australian citizens studying, but none that I could find when researching this myself last year for non citizens or PR's This would be a good place to start to dig into this further Worth noting that the government is reforming higher education to incentivise students to make more job relevant choices, offering lower fees for courses the country anticipates demand for or wants to drive economic growth from: 46% less to study Teaching, nursing, psychology, English and languages 62% less to study Agriculture & math 20% less to study Health, architecture, environmental scienve, IT and engineering More information for you here

If you hold a PR visa or you're a citizen, then your fees are subsidised, and citizens can access loans. If you are from overseas, you don't have access to any of that. On top of that, you are only allowed to work 20 hours a week - and many students can't get anywhere near those hours, because it's hard to find work that fits around lectures. So it's unrealistic to expect to earn a living wage while you study. For that reason, most people on student visas either have rich parents, or substantial savings, or they're living form hand to mouth in cramped share houses. If you need to improve your qualifications to get a visa, it will be much more practical and far less expensive to do the course in your home country. At the moment, it will also be quicker - because it's unlikely you'd be able to even start a course in Australia till 2022. Thank you for your help As an international student, all fees and living costs have to be paid by yourself and they are high. No loans available at all.
