We went back to the UK (both British citizens) nearly 3 weeks ago to get married and are now back in Oz. I want to change my name with everything in Oz but not my passport just yet (honeymoon booked in September in maiden name as only just got new passport), does anyone know if this will be possible? Loopylu Posted January 21, 2020 Share Posted January 21, 2020 From recollection, it was free to change a UK passport when I got married (albeit nearly 25 years ago). Marisawright Posted January 21, 2020 Share Posted January 21, 2020 What a pity you've got the honeymoon booked in your maiden name as you could've got your passport changed before you go. As Loopylu says, make sure you apply to renew your passport as soon as you're back from the honeymoon, as you only get a certain window to make a name change free of charge.
