Vicky87
In the process of cleaning everything as shippers due tomorrow - nothing like being organised How clean is clean? We've wire brushed the shoes but you can still see mud engraved in the soles?
rammygirl
Nope. You need to scrub the mud out with soap and water. Any visible organic matter will cause issues.

calNgary
A little tip quite a few migrants have used ,is to wash items in Jeyes fluid.. It stinks and if your container is checked at customs and on opening they smell Jeyes, they may not be as nit picky as they can smell/ tell you have cleaned. Vicky87
Thanks Cal, we've tried jeyes fluid, hot soapy water and jet washing.. I've even tried baby wipes and my nails to remove in the ridges of some of the shoes I give up now and just hoping it'll be enough! Find out in 3 months I guess x
