My question is when i was there i had my: tax file number medicare card / file credit file i have the opportunity to go back on the new 482/TSS visa would i get my original tax file number back or issued with a new one ? sane question regarding medicare & credit history file ? Thanks Danny
Amber Snowball
I think your tfn and medicare numbers are for life, your tfn should be. Not sure how long credit files last in Australia, in the UK it is 6 years, so possibly similar. Sorry can’t be more definite but this would make sense. JetBlast
I have an original letter here from when I got a Tax File Number in 2011 on a working holiday visa. It says on the letter that the Tax File Number will remain with you for life. Edited August 19, 2018 by JetBlast
