Andy362
Hi guys, Quick context. I had a WHV two years ago. I left half way through and when back home due to personal reasons. Am I able to come back and get a WHV again in Australia? Sorry if this question has been asked before. Regards, A
ali
Only if you did the required specified work in a regional area and still meet the age criteria.

Yes.You have used your first one. Whether you used it for one day or for 12 months is irrelevant.

I spent 4 months on the VISA. No regional area work. There's no way back right? (with regards to WHV)

Yes - as Nemesis says - you've used your 1st WHV - it's now expired.

(with regards to WHV) Not on a WHV - you could come as a tourist (not able to work).
Andy362
Right, I see. I'm trying to look for a longer term alternative (much like the WHV). Thanks for the reply guys, much appreciated.

My work experience is virtually none on paper though as I worked in a restaurant 5 years ago. Not sure if what I have will suffice.
Guest
I doubt it. Have a look at the skills list to see what Australia is wanting in terms of professions and trades. If you really want to move to Australia, it may require a fair few years of re training/qualifying/getting experience in something that could get you a visa. Having said that, there is no way of knowing if or when the list will change and what will be removed or added on. Whatever you do, if you do re train, make sure its something you'd want to do regardless of visa opportunities.
