jtjtjt
hi, I am applying for a partner visa online and we have everything all ready to go. The only thing left that is confusing me is the passport photos. So I am guessing we have to scan them if we are applying online - but why do we have to write our names on the back?? How will they be able to see this on a scan? Seems bizarre. Also I am seeing some places that the sponsor also needs to send pics, not just the applicant?? Thanks

TheWayOfThePony
When we applied for our PMV we simply sent scans of our passport pictures (applicant and sponsor). We lodged with the help of an agent and he only asked for the pictures, not the back, and the CO was obviously fine with it as he never requested the back, and the visa was granted. I think as long as you give the file a title that is self-explanatory (like PassportPhoto_Applicant.jpg) that should be fine?
jtjtjt
Thanks @TheWayOfThePony I think that's what we will do. @snifter I'm not sure what the point of scanning the back would be.. it could be the back of anything! Maybe it's just a throw back to when you had to send them in the post and now we can just name the file as our names as the above recommends
mhaffie
I think it refers to paper applications, one photo each I believe is acceptable, they can duplicate the photo’s themselves.
