paulswin
Has anyone that's gone back and are in their 40's been able to get a mortgage? We will have to try and get one when we go home next year!!
calNgary
There are quite a few comments on this thread about it that may help , it does sound like some struggle if theyve been out of the country a while -

Tulip1
Age isn't the problem as you can get a mortgage to what will be your state pension age (seen generally as when you will retire) and much longer if you can document affordability beyond state pension age (a private pension for example). As long as you have the deposit and a permanent job which can be seen by a contract. Self employed usually needs a minimum of two years audited accounts. Oh and permanent residents (right to remain indefinitely)
