Mini Posted October 19, 2017 Share Posted October 19, 2017 Hi, We had our RPL done by ACS. However, there is no mention of educational qualification in the assessment. This is for a mechanical engineer, applying for IT job as experienced in IT. Do we have to get our education assessed by someone? Does anyone have any experience on this? No. Any degree (in any discipline) held by the primary visa applicant and recognised as comparable to an Australian degree attracts 15 points for skilled migration. Whether a degree is recognised as comparable to an Australian degree depends on the standing of the institution that conferred it Most engineering degrees are OK. Also I tried to find information about VETASSESS which many people have mentioned for assessment of the degree. Its a bit confusing as there are mixed responses. We have applied our EOI for state nomination with out assessing his education. As you mentioned, there is too much ambiguity around this. We understand that if the degree is from a reputed university there should not be any issues. If you have any more information on this please can you share as well. Thanks.
