Your BV will come into effect as soon as your 457 expires. Its all automatic. Sometimes the email from immigration takes 2-3 weeks to notify that your application is valid and then you can have your Medicare and all. but BV will be started from 12 am from your 457 expiry date. Ā No worries the day you apply for 187 the immi gives you the bridging visa which comes into effect the day when your 457 exp so you don't need to do enything and don't worry ... But thinking logically and coming from an MA that makes sense. Although , if you hold for 2 seconds the mouse over the words of status, the explanatory text says "will be assess" or similar. I hope it's right what your MA told you. I cannot stand anymore, I'm going grey, I walk on hot coals. It's too much especially being offshore. I've sent an email to immi asking about CO allocation although I have a MA. I hope don't bother anybody from immi. Hopefully Monday I'll have a reply or even an Outcome . Gpsingh did that yesterday and it worked and I heard it's working like that. What a long and hard weekend. Good luck to all my suffering mates to this thread.
