Mat8
A couple of questions... We have decided to engage an agent to help with our 489 visa. There are so many around and it seems a bit of a 'luck of the draw' decision with very little in the way of reviews of agents. I have found the Register of Migration Agents on mara.gov.au to ensure the agent we select is registered, but are there any recommendations? My skill is ICT so will need to be assessed by ACS so a specialist in this area would be great if there is such a niche agent. I would welcome your thoughts and resources/recommendations, this is massive decision and I want the right agent. Also any ideas on costings, I only have quote for the whole process so far so difficult to know if it's reasonable as I have no benchmark. Thanks! RheaMARN1171933
1 hour ago, Mat8 said: You definitely went to the right source - MARA. As migration agents, we need to adhere to the code of conduct set out by the MARA so rest assured you will be dealt with in a professional manner. Also, being registered with the MARA means we are qualified to provide immigration advice. With regards to costing, there is not set rules imposed by the MARA apart from the fact that fees should be fair and reasonable. You need to shop around and find the most competitive fees. Also, apart from the fees, you also need to feel the trust. I suggest you get a few quotes and take it from there. I'm not sure if you'be seen the agent fees section on the MARA website but just in case, here it is https://www.mara.gov.au/using-an-agent/working-with-your-agent/agent-fees/
VERYSTORMY
We have a number of excellent agents that are regular members of the site. If you search for wrussel, Alan Collett or Raul to name a few.
Sanae Kaneda
You should get quotes from a lot of agents and also ask them directly if they have an experience with handling ACS applications in the past.

All the documents are submitted in 1st week of July and Nomination was granted on 14th July. I rang to CO and she said my file is in third party check process.
