VERYSTORMY
How many years experience previously do you have that is post qualifying as an plasterer?
Marisawright
You don't need to be working as a plasterer when you apply, but you do need to be properly qualified and have worked a certain number of years as a plasterer after you qualified. So you'll need to check what those requirements are and whether you meet them.
martin g
Before getting qualified I've got 9 years experience but how do I prove that,is that where the assessment comes in? If this is the case then we should be able to apply sooner, thanks

Marisawright
Hi sorry I read the text wrong,I qualified in 2009 but haven't been constantly plasterling since then. Then you need to work out how many years actual plastering experience you've had since then. Then look at what the requirement is on the immigration website. martin g
So I dont actually need to be plastering now, I just need enough experience? Thanks
CiderDrinkingCoder
Yep. I hadn't been working for some time when I applied for my 189. Came through no problem. As long as your experience is relevant and within any time frames your professional accrediting body (dunno who would do plastering, I'm afraid) require, then you should be fine. CiderDrinkingCoder
Afraid not, so can't give you any more than generic information from my own experience in chasing my visa. I'm a software engineer by trade.
