richselina Posted March 20, 2016 Share Posted March 20, 2016 Hi, I'm considering visiting Cairns in June, but only will have 5/6 days there and wondered if this is enough time to explore the area and see all of the main places to see/visit. Appreciate any comments along with places I should plan to see and any recommendations on places to stay - apartments/hotels. starlight7 Posted March 20, 2016 Share Posted March 20, 2016 Lots to do in Cairns for 5 or 6 days. Travel up the coast road to Port Douglas- it is a lovely drive ( think there is a bus up there). I like the big swimming lagoon there right in Cairns, too. Visit the barrier reef, Cairns night market and maybe go up to the usual Kuranda raintree markets on the skyrail. That'll do for 5 days!
