calNgary
There is no set cost, it depends on the drug /medication. I am sure someone will be along soon who uses inhalers and will know the figure. Cal x
Parley
Hi folks. Can anyone tell me the cost of a prescription in Oz, please?! My husband has ventolin inhalers. Cheers! I use ventolin. You can buy them over the counter without a prescription for about $9.80 each. But it is better to have a prescription as then you get 2 for about $9.80. If you have a healthcare card it should come down to about $5.
SandyBlueMountains
Thanks people. How do you find out the cost of various medications then?
calNgary
You could maybe have a look at somewhere like Chemist Warehouse or home pharmacy on line to get a guideline. Cal x
Jurls
Asmol is slightly cheaper version of Salbutamol than Ventolin (which is a brand name). How often does he use it? If you use your reliever medication more than 2 times in a week, guidelines recommend having a review with your Doctor.

He only used it once every couple of weeks, unless he's in a room where there are cats, in which case he's on it every ten minutes!
Guest
Blimey, I need to find somewhere cheaper than. I paid $30 or so last time I got a repeat.
AJ
http://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/prescriptions My local pharmacy price matches though. If you tell them you can get it cheaper in Chemist Warehouse, they look it up and then give you for the same cost, worth asking!
