VERYSTORMY Posted October 24, 2015 Share Posted October 24, 2015 I think you do for the 189 as that's general skilled migration, and also the 190 as that's state sponsored migration, and both are subject to the 60 points threshold afaik. Not for the actual visas if you hold a British passport - British passport holders are exempt. You don't have to wait 2 years though, if you have a positive skills assessment. You can go for PR on your own at any time. i just received my 457visa, hopefully will be able to start in January. So as you say if one has got positive skills assessment one doesn't need to wait for 2yrs and can go PR on your own--meaning which visa route?
