apj696 Posted September 25, 2015 Share Posted September 25, 2015 strike action??:chatterbox: my nomination was approved on 17th August, and on the same day medicals were requested. The medicals were done within 2 days of them requesting and I also fwd'd my police clearance certificate (even though it hadnt been requested) on 21st Sept. Still waiting to hear, i'm getting uncomfortable keeping everything "crossed". My start date on my contract for the new job is 28th Sept! eeek... docksboy40 Posted September 25, 2015 Share Posted September 25, 2015 Hi apj696, yes there is strike action at the moment but having spoken to our MA who has spoken to her contact in DIBP it doesn't seem to be affecting visa applications thankfully, just airport services. We are still waiting too and my other half is supposed to be starting work mid Oct so its getting tight for us also. Fingers crossed we both hear soon.
