  1. We had our golden email earlier this evening, so happy! Occupation - Regional Sales Director Visa Type - 186 TRT Occupation List - STSOL Low Risk Country (UK) Nomination & Personal Application - 11/12/2017 (Decision Ready) Medicals & Police Checks done before submitting application
  2. I came as "de facto" partner and didn't have to provide any qualifications, well apart from proving that we had been in a long term relationship.
  3. They only assess the primary applicant, the other members if part of the same 457 visa (I'm presuming family?) do not have to have any qualifications.
  4. It sounds like it KE11MCD, if it takes too long you can always get a bridging visa until the 457 comes through, a friend has just done this as her company has never sponsored before either.
  5. The company needs to become a Standard Business Sponsor and be approved before any nomination or visa application can be submitted. The company can do this online but it can take a while as they have to provide a lot of information. Once they have been approved nominations and visa applications can be submitted and the normally processing time applies.
  6. Where in Sydney are you heading to Bellwood5? we are in North Sydney at the moment (been here 11days), lovely place and just got an apartment in Lane Cove. Work in North Sydney so very handy for that.
  7. We have looked at shipping them but as they are fairly new the luxury car tax on arrival is crippling, I will cry more saying goodbye to the car than I will the family
  8. Shipping is sorted thankfully, we are using Crown. They are a bit more expensive but have friends who have used them a few times and they have always been good. The company is paying for that anyway. Main thing at the moment is selling the cars, we are getting some ridiculous offers for them.
  9. I'm sure it won't be too much longer now Bellwood5, if they haven't requested more info by now I'm sure it's all good, I have my fingers crossed that you will hear before the week is out. I'm currently going into meltdown trying to sort everything out to move in 2 weeks, other half is about as much use as a *********** ********* :goofy:
  10. Thanks 99flake. My other half did have a drink drive conviction but it was over 20 years ago so it wasn't queried. Hope you get yours soon.
  11. Great thanks for that will have a look, and good luck with your visas.
  12. Hills looks good and much better price wise but we are concerned about the commute, how long does it take? Would much rather a larger house (with a pool natch )
  13. Wow you're brave sending all your stuff before visas granted, we were too cautious We are looking at moving to Lower North Shore, other half's office is in North Sydney so want to be near to there. Got a serviced apartment for when we first arrive then but have a few rentals in mind so will be booking viewings soon. Hope you get yours tomorrow, that would be good
  14. Heading to Sydney, just working my way through the cancel everything list today, and book the removals and flights
  15. Just woke up to an email that our visas have been granted  Has taken exactly 4 weeks. So excited but now have loads to organise. Hope everyone else hears soon too.
  16. That's excellent news apj696, congratulations! Praying we get ours this week.
  17. Hi apj696, yes there is strike action at the moment but having spoken to our MA who has spoken to her contact in DIBP it doesn't seem to be affecting visa applications thankfully, just airport services. We are still waiting too and my other half is supposed to be starting work mid Oct so its getting tight for us also. Fingers crossed we both hear soon.
  18. Thanks Team AB, have just emailed the agent to ask on an update and see if the position nomination has been approved.
  19. We are relocating to Sydney, office is based in North Sydney so somewhere around there. Melbourne is supposed to be lovely, I'm sure you'll love it.
  20. We don't know a thing. The company has sponsored people before, all we know it was lodged on 2nd Sept. My other half is supposed to be starting work mid Oct so things are very tight now. Contacting the agent today so see if there is any news. We have no idea what the process is to be honest. We were just told it would be 4-6 weeks or sooner but reading this thread who knows!!!!
  21. Congratulations Team AB, we lodged ours on 2nd Sept and still waiting. Are you from a low risk country? We are from the UK and were hoping to have had it by now.
  22. We lodged our 457 on 2nd September 2015 and are still waiting. Really hope we get it soon. There is strike action at the moment but I'm not sure if this is affecting visa applications.
