skippy79
When working full time for one employer for 6 months, what do you fill in for tax, resident or non resident? I think non resident, but someones work is telling them they are a resident and have fill it in incorrectly, and are now paying 30% tax instead of 20%. thanks
Guest51810
Apparently you tick resident for tax purposes. The tax situation is changing next year though
lebourvellec
If you stay in one place for 6 months you are considered resident for tax purposes.

But it is good grounds to claim residency ... at the moment. Soon a WHV will not be able to claim residency. I havent looked lately, but I was not aware of Australia having a 20% or 30% tax rate.
