pradeepgv86
Dear Friends! We applied for AU Visa and are currently in the process of having all the documents verified by CO. While the health results have been satisfactory for myself and my wife, they have requested for additional tests for my 2 year old kid. They requested for the below. A further report from a specialist Paediatrician and/or developmental Psychologist is required regarding applicant's cognitive and developmental status. Please forward a report addressing history, an age appropriate developmental assessment, diagnosis, likely future management needs (eg early intervention therapies, and/or assistance at school) and any social services likely to be required. We did some tests from a development pediatrician and provided a report. But after their assessment, they've again referred to the same report and eMedical client shows the status as 'Referred'. We are currently lost and not sure if they are expecting a different kind of report. Kindly help folks with your experience and recommendations. Southchick
I think referred means it is being checked as it is something extra requested. Try not to worry....they will be in touch soon if they need anything else.
pradeepgv86
Thanks! Hoping for the best, of course. But their ask seems really vague and wish they could standardize the tests or formats

More likely than not, the report did not correctly address the legal issues involved. You might want to take advice about this and possibly obtain a further report. Quoll
Thanks! Hoping for the best, of course. But their ask seems really vague and wish they could standardize the tests or formats There are standardised assessment tools that might usually be used for infants - the Griffiths Scale is one commonly used for young children which gives an objective assessment of current development. There are others of course but it sounds like they are after something like that, not just a bald "yeah he's alright" kind of letter.

rammygirl
Did your report address future needs? They are looking at how much any interventions, support or treatment might cost and if it might predudice access to scarce resources.
nishith
Hi rammygirl , Thanks for your quick response. we are yet to take review from the Paediatrician. I wanted help on whom to approach. As in if they have a specific panel similar to other medical tests. and if any specific format to be followed while preparing reports. Thanks
