Sarahb1986
Hi All, Just thought I would start a post to find out what people's experiences have been of buying a house in Melbourne or Australia in general! What the house prices are like for the space you get, how easy to get a home loan. Are you able to get a home loan on a 189 permanent residency visa or do you have to wait until you have citizenship? Thank you!

Thank you! You can get a loan on PR or even TR! House prices totally depend on where you are looking. They start at around $100,000 for an old house in a rural town and go up to tens of millions. What's your budget and where are you looking? BB
harrygoyal
Hi Sarabh, You can apply for a home loan even without PR. As far as the easiness of home loans is considered, you are probably looking for a owner occupier loan, you can get that on low interest rates. Share more details of the exact locations where you are looking for a loan... Thanks
