Biker Dave
Is it true that this visa cannot now be applied for online? Also will it be issued for a few days break in Bali? TIA
MaggieMay24
I don't think they could ever be applied for online. As far as I know, it's always been a paper application. DIBP is pretty willing to grant a BVB in most situations, so a holiday in Bali wouldn't be an issue.

Biker Dave
For those interested I posted my application to the Darwin office on August 19th & received confirmation today 24th August by email. This Bridging Visa B is valid for 6 months for multiple exit & entry to Australia & replaces my Bridging Visa "A".
blossom
It only replaces it for those 6 months. Then it reverts back automatically if your next visa hasn't already been issued.
1aurs
How much does it cost for a bridging visa b? I found the form on the website, but couldn't see how much it costs? Also I thought the Visa b was for fixed dates of travel - is that not the case? Thanks

Not according to the letter I received. "This bridging visa B replaces the previous Bridging visa A granted in association with your application for a Partner (Temporary) visa. "If you are in Australia after 24th March 2016, this bridging visa allows you to remain in Australia, but not to travel overseas again, until your substantive visa application is decided." It is not for fixed dates of travel. Mine is for 6 months multiple leave and return to Australia.
