figment
hi, does anyone know if there are any time constraints on when you should be permanently residing in 'regional' Australia on the above visa subclass 489? I intend to live in Mandurah for at least 2 years of my Visa term but currently am stopping with relatives until our container arrives. I arrived in Fremantle on Monday 3rd August and will probably be in Mandurah by end of September. However, my visa conditions stated I needed to make entry into Australia by 12th August and I am wondering if that means I must be in Mandurah by then? blossom
How would they know if you were there or not? I think they ask for proof when you aplly for your PR don't they? Rental agreements etc.
MaggieMay24
I've read posts from a migration agent saying they give you "reasonable time" to get settled so I assume you'd be ok to arrive and move to a your regional area a few weeks later. I don't know that 2 months would be considered a reasonable time. When you apply for an 887 visa, you need to provide sufficient evidence that you've met the requirements, such as rental agreements.
