mjr
What's the best (cheapest) way to have mail redirected and sent from Australia to the UK? We don't have friends/family in Australia, so we can't use that option! Australia Post charge $222 for 3 months, but that's ridiculous, so what do we do? newjez
Wholey moley that's gone up! Seriously, you have no friends? Only thing is to right to everyone and let them know. You may just have to pay it though.

Marisawright
There is no other way. Like you, we thought it was far too expensive so we just didn't do it. We worked on reducing our snail mail for months before we left, converting all our bills to email or online where we could, and cancelling subscriptions to anything we didn't really need. We also notified as many people as we could think of. You can then leave a forwarding address with your landlord (if you were renting) or with the new occupants of your house (if you sold). There's no guarantee they'll post stuff on but sometimes it works.
