Documents to ship

Hi,

We've finally booked flights and a movecube and will be in Melbourne at the end of August. Now starts the process of packing up our lives.

One thing we need to sort out is how much documentation do we need (if any) for use in Aus or record keeping for the UK. I've got about 15 years of shoeboxes in the loft with bank statements, pension details plus a bunch of other documents that probably never needed to be kept in the first place.

Is it worth keeping bank statements / pension statements/ pay slips / P60s/ P45's etc???? or anything else, and going back how far? Would scans be sufficient or should we keep the paper copies?

Thanks for any thoughts/advice?

Kev.

buy a scanner and a shredder ;-)

you might actually need things like payslips from the last 5 years and transcripts from qualifications at some point (stuff that I never expected to need again)... but if you have a PR visa maybe you supplied this stuff already.

Ta, scanner sorted.... have 'melted' 2x shredders so far, not allowed anymore!
