I am Welsh but hubbie is from Burnley and we lived there for three and a half years prior to coming to Oz !!! My hubbie has family here which did help us settle initially. Hubbie is a Mechanical Fitter so we came over on his skilled 136 visa. He did his appreticeship at Turkingtons. How long have you been at Kathleen's florist for ?? Used to go and have my hair done at the salon opposite with Vicky, Kels grandma lives near Coalclough Lane and my best mate lives off Cogg Lane !!! We all love it here and know now that this was definately the right move for us ! Perth is lovely and the people are so friendly too, lots of POMS in this area I have even met a few people from Burnley but have not met many Welsh !!! My daughter was in the same class as Brogan in nursery and they were in LOVE, he he ! My husband says he knows Kieron Pearce but doesnt recognise Zammo. If you know Kelly you will probably know my husbands sister, Kirsty Richards now Carter !! You probably worked with Bev at the florist, I dont know her personally but she married my oh's father ! Dont have any contact tho !! OMG small world isnt it !!! We did use an agent and without the agency I dont think we would be here now !!! We used AMA Ltd, their website ie australiamigrate.co.uk ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, they are based in Manchester and have a 100% pass rate! They will also do a free consultation over the phone, give them a call and ask to speak to Shirley, she is lovely and so so helpful !! We are fairly new to the site too and you will find loads of good advice. Don't be afraid to ask questions no matter how daft you think they maybe as you can bet that someone has asked it at least once before!!! Keep your eyes peeled in the socialising and get together pages as we will be trying to get another Lancashire meet arranged later this year. We had one in Blackpool on the weekend and it was really good to get together and chat with other families who are all in very different situations and at various different stages of the process. I also know Jock from years ago! and I used to work with his wife's cousin-Moggy, you know him? We also have a 3yr old daughter called Ruby! along with 1 yr old Jack.
