Using an agent!!!!!

Hi there,

has anybody got any advice on using an agent to help apply for your visa and all the other paperwork?

its really hard to find any reviews on the agents as you can imagine there are pages and pages of information online!

i have looked at a few agents,

go matilda- who I found rude and un helpful

emigrate Australia- who were good but seem to want payment before they gave me much information

and overseas emigration- who gave me the information I needed to put my mind at rest but much more expensive..... These seem like my best option but since mentioning how helpful they have been emigrate Australia have also given me some great info and reduced there fee by £300.

now confused on what to do, in my head I'm thinking maybe paying more money for overseas emigration will be worth it in the long run! Aghhhhh

OH and I was also told that the fees for visas are being put up by 50% July 2015 is t's true???

thank you in advance

It will be a skilled visa, (for permanent residency) my husband is a telecommunications technician which is on the list, he is 32 and we have family living in Perth so I'm really hoping we will have enough points.

Just don't want to hand over huge amounts of money and be told no, which I suppose is the risk everybody takes!

I have never heard a bad word said against Go Matilda. We used them and they were professional and exeptionally good from the off.

If you tick all the visa requirements you will get a visa. If you don't then you won't get the visa. It's quite black and white :)

You arn't looking at a family sponsored visa are you?

Im surprised you had a bad exchange with Go Matilda as they seem to get good feedback most of the time. We personally used Visa Bureau and they were good for us. Keep ringing around until you find one that seems ok to you, just make sure they are registered.

I am at the same stage as you and know exactly what you mean about finding an agent - I am half tempted to just do it all myself but am scared I will mess it up haha!

I also found go Matilda unhelpful and they came highly recommended to me. They took so long to answer my queries and didn't seem too interested in wanting our money! Infact the initial enquiry where they state they will take 48hrs to get in touch - they took 22 days!! So my impression is that either they are very laid back and will make the entire process slow, or they are inundated...which will drag out the process too.

I am going to check out that Visa Bureau suggestion. Also Thames migration seemed helpful yet expensive...

Hello Mrs WL.

Please feel able to send a PM or an email to me with your name and contact details, as I would like to know more about why it has taken so long to respond to you.

I am also happy to telephone you to discuss.

Best regards.
