lovejarora
I am applying for 189 visa along with my wife with me being the primary applicant. We got married recently, she didn't have a passport then, I am applying for her passport now. Since, she has taken my surname and passport is going to reflect the same, however, her secondary and tertiary certificates have a different surname. Is there going to be a problem ? I do have marriage certificate which evidently reflects our surnames before marriage. Do I need any other documents or anything else ?? Cheers, Lovej

As long as you have a marriage certificate to prove the chnage of surname.
lovejarora
That's the thing, our marriage certificate reflects our names before getting married, whereas, her passport would reflect the changed surname.
rammygirl
All I submitted for change of name was a marriage certificate.
Jlew
We just used the marriage certificate too. Birth certificate and qualifications were maiden name, then passport etc was married name. Marriage certificate used as evidence of name change.
MaggieMay24
As far as I know, marriage certificates always reflect your names before you got married. But since the wife often assumes the husband's surname the marriage certificate is sufficient evidence to explain a change of name.
