ValentineDavies
So we thought we were nearly done We had our medicals on the 3/10 and were hoping it was the final hurdle for our 189 visa. ( we began this process in sept 2012) We had our sights set on being there just before or just after xmas for our girls to start school in the new term.... I dont think this will be the case now. Our one year old sons medicals cant be completed! They have referred him to a paediatrician. The quickest appointment with the NHS is 11/11 which I know is quick, but if we wanted to all be there by december we needed everything done yesterday  Just wanted a moan really, it feels like we will never get there... With a 16 year old also we are at a cruical time , we need to get there so she can resume education ! She did fantastic in her GCSEs and She has started an A level course she wont finish ... I just dont want to waste her time ... Everything is so long winded ... Anyone else had referals on their medicals ? Our deadline set by the case officer was Friday for all info to be recieved... ali
What did he get referred for - is he going to require tests etc.,
Telle
My husbands medical was referred as he had viral meningitis, all cleared and discharged from hospital back in May. Our agent told us referrals can take up to 2 months. Our CO has not contacted us since we sent all of the paperwork and doctors discharge letters and everything else they wanted and that was a month ago now. ValentineDavies
What did he get referred for - is he going to require tests etc., He got referred for undescended testes ? The doctor that performed the medical said he couldn't find them and that he needed a paediatricians report, we went to the GP for him to complete the form and to get a second opinion and he said the same ! Long story short we are hoping the paediatrician says he is fine, worst case senario we will be waiting for an operation before we can go ? Not really sure what is going to happen, but we are thinking it has set us back alot!
Jack91
Operation or hormones would be used.
ValentineDavies
Just hoping whatever they do we are not waiting ages as his medical cant be sent of until this is resolved.... By resolved i am assuming they mean fixed ? We are not sure if they can lodge his medical on the system after his appointment with the paediatrician with a report or if they need to have operated/started hormones? ali
The medical will probably be sent once the report is received, it is then likely to be referred on (don't panic at that) to be reviewed until they need more information. You need the report from the Dr to say what the problem is, what investigations (if any), what treatment, and what the prognosis is.
calNgary
We paid to see a private specialist when my medical was referred and luckily got an appointment the week after, i did explain to them when i rang that we had a possible sale on the house and were now in limbo (in other words i gave them a bit of a sob story) and im sure thats why the receptionist squeezed us in so soon. Fingers crossed for you Cal x
