If you can find a doctor who 'bulk bills', then you won't have to pay anything when you go to see a GP. ramot Posted September 26, 2014 Share Posted September 26, 2014 Sorry MR but if poster is really on the 410 visa, then this is a temporary retirement visa which we are on, and this plus the 405 temporary retirement visa are not entitled to Medicare. The conditions are that we have to be totally self funded, and we come from the UK. We have been on this visa for 12 years. however this visa 410 was withdrawn I think at least 5 years ago so no new ones issued since then, it was replaced by the 405 which is very expensive. sheffielder are you sure you are on the 410 visa? we can never get PR on this visa, but knew the conditions before we retired here, and have no complaints, it is renewable every 10 years, and for us and others on it it is very straightforward to renew.
