What happens at stopover?

Recommended Posts

Hi Pet air -

Were booking flights London to Melbourne with Singapore airkines as they have the shortest stop over time -

What happens to the pets in the cargo during this time (which will likely only be 1.5 hours)

Who transports them?

What if our flight was late from london and we miss the next flight? what then becomes of the animals in the hold?

Hi

The stop over time we use is 7 hours so it is unlikely to be late enough to miss the onward. I am not sure who has told you there is a 1.5 hour transit time as that would be nearly impossible. We have a really good agent in Singapore who goes in, checks the pets, waters them and makes sure they are well taken care of. This is why we may be a bit more expensive than the cheaper quotes you get who just rely on Singapore Airlines to look after them.

Yep, those flights are available on the Singapore Airlines website, but they wont let you book pets with that much of a short transit. Transits for humans can be really short but at airports around the world generally they need a minimum of 4 hours for pets
