nursesam
Hi, I'm moving to Coffs Harbour, NSW in August, no job yet but hopefully something will happen soon... just wondered what other nurses have done you regarding indemnity insurance as I was under the impression it was obligatory for nurses in oz or could you just have cover from your employer?? In the UK I'm a member of RCN which isn't mandatory but would provide cover. not really sure how it works over there? I would be grateful for some suggestions/clarity!! nic1171
The nurse union will provide it. I was actually working for a while without being in a union assuming my employer covered me, just recently found out! Also when reregistering with AHPRA it asks if your covered. I think each state have their own union but all come under ANF. I pay $22 a fortnight
