winsonwongsg
hi all, I need an advise whether i can move to another job/company while i am on bridging visa A. Currently, i am working for a company that sponsor me (457 visa). I have submitted and pay for my visa application 190. Currently waiting for the case officer. Is it consider very high chance that my application visa 190 will approve as state sponsorship have been approved. Please advise. cheers! In that your 457 expired? Just checking as sometimes people think the minute they lodge an onshore visa application they move straight away to bridging visa A. winsonwongsg
hi Rupert, Well, just base on the internet, when someone applied for a skill nomination visa, bridging visa will be automatically kicks in. But i do not know where to find out whether it had already happens. My 457 visa have not expired yet. Winson
Ozmaniac
If your 457 hasn't expired yet, you are NOT on a Bridging visa A - it doesn't take effect until your 457 expires. Until then, you must continue to meet all of your 457 visa conditions, including continuing to work for your 457 sponsor.

You are still on your 457.

Have a read of the bridging visa a email and it explains that it doesn't start until your current visa expires.
MaggieMay24
You remain on your 457 until it expires, and only then would your bridging visa kick in. You can only change employers if the new employer is granted a nomination for your 457.
