gpo1971 Posted November 7, 2013 Share Posted November 7, 2013 Don't believe a word of anyone saying there are no jobs over here. I can't get plumbing or spark work done for love nor money. Everyone's either too busy or can cherry pick the jobs they do. Been trying since August to get work done, made about 20 inquiries, 15 ignored me, 3 quoted then ignored me (2 were ludicrous quotes to put me off or hoodwink me), 2 said they'd schedule me in and have then put me off due to being busy. Nightmare. Brother-in-law builder says its commonplace, everyone is max'd out or just doing the lucrative/easy stuff. He says he's never been so busy. So the privileged few probably can pick and choose! Hubby is having a nightmare completing the assignments thankfully though he is working .
