roger2shirts
Talk to Bill Rose at http://www.anglia..com.au get some advice. Just because you are married does not mean he will be allowed to stay!
Quoll
Apparently yes you can but he wouldn't be allowed to stay

Brisvegasgirl73
OK well he doesn't mind having to go back once we are married, we just want to make that commitment to each other. We can survive until his partner visa is approved being apart. Thanks guys for advice so far.

Why didn't you just apply for the PMV in the first place and only have the one period of time apart and done. Have to say, the order you are doing things in, it's probably a more awkward way to go about it when it could be much more simple for you both. Guest
I remember the story but really, you could have applied for the PMV months ago, had it granted and been good to go together in Aus.
wrussell
just wondered if we are allowed to marry whilst he is here on a tourist visa or not? You can wed in Australia, regardless of your immigration status.
