jgt Posted October 28, 2013 Share Posted October 28, 2013 Hey all just a note to help would be rental hunters, We have been here a month or so and thought we would have easily secured a rental as we had a sizable chunk o cash in the bank, however after viewing dozens of "cosy rentals",being turned down, and wondering how the agents kept a straight face as you viewed a 70s porno film set we got zilch so it was getting stressful an all that, so i put an add on gumtree and turned it around and specifically asked if it was possible for a rental which was not a 70s film set.I also said that if the Land lord was suitable enough we "might " consider there offer. First come first served. Any way a really nice lady contacts us and was laughing and said as she thought we were so fussy as tenants we had first refusal on an upcoming rental. The rental was everything and more with incredibly good and flexible terms.
