Leeds123
It doesn't have to be Wollongong just my family are looking at houses there, the nightlife in leeds is really good just don't want to move somewhere that isn't lively, where would you recommend that hasn't got Sydney house prices lol. wakeboard1980
Wollongong should be ok still I would think. And easy enough to get to Sydney from there.
Wellers and Whitehead
You are not going to find a Leeds nightlife in Wollongong! It takes approx two hours by train to get to Sydney city.

wakeboard1980
If you don't want to pay 'Sydney' prices you will be over 1hr from the city. You will still pay decent prices though. and no matter where you live it won't be the UK.

pablo
To the OP,only kidding mucker,i dont know hardly anything about aus beyond the 3 weeks ive been there, and i can only tell yer my experiences Do they hate Poms?not from what i seen, most thought i was Irish or Scottish anyway, you might find the same if you've got a Leeds accent I asked for directions 2 or 3 times, the lads got out of their cars, got maps out of their car boots and spent 5 to 10 minutes explaining where i had to go. "Every time" i/we(then)went for a beer in the pub we were asked to stay behinds or house parties, thats every time,i kid yer not, they also passed the peace pipe round in the beer gardens big time,so thats my experience, very short one i know, but i think if your'e outgoing and straight the aussies are sound with yer,and where i'm from we tend to have both in abundance,i had a ball with them
