gas barbecue

Can you ship the gas for a gas barbecue or do you need different fittings etc in oz to be able to connect up, also can you ship these small cooking type gas torches.

I think they have different bottles and connectors. We are taking our Webber though and will buy new gas bottles and I think you can get an adapter. There was a thread on here a few months back about the same thing, try a search.

Your shipping company wont ship gas bottles. They don't like things that might go bang.

We took ours .... cost $100 to convert to the Australian gas and connectors. Add to that the deep cleaning we had to give it first so that it would get through AQIS and it really wasn't worth it. Of all the things we brought over, the one I wouldn't again would be the BBQ.

 

I would suggest you sell you BBQ in the UK, and put that money towards a BBQ here. Lot less bother.

we didn't bring ours because It was old and ratty, so we bought new on arrival, but would probably agree with Dorset that its probably cheaper and easier to buy new here.
