nancy and paul
Hi guys just about to send away for our police checks and noticed on some time lines they've been taking a while.. Is the premium service much quicker and worth the extra money?
wolvesaussie
Suppose depends on visa type and if hurry can actually help? On our partner visa speeding up the police check would have no bearing as its required months before the visa is granted anyway. We just used normal one, took 2 weeks I think
mattybe
10 working days for standard, 2 for premium. Depends how quick you need it really. If your case officer has asked you for it and you have left it a bit late then maybe worth going for. As soon as I got asked for it I sent off for standard service and got it within about 7 days, so was well within the time frame.
nancy and paul
Thanks guy. Just got allocated our co this week so sending off now just didn't want to take any chances. Wasn't sure if it was 10 days from receiving application or processing application. Think I'll go for the fast one just to get it done with. Guest51810
When my ex had his interview for a mining job he did his police check the premium service, cant remember how long it took but it was definitely over a week. Didnt think it was worth it to be honest and it was a lot more expensive if i remember correctly
nancy and paul
Did anybody pay the extra £6 for next day delivery?
nic1171
Mine took a full 2 weeks and a day to return recently using standard service
lebourvellec
Standard service your not gaining anything by doing the premium service. It will not process your application faster, you have 28 days to provide the documents requested. Since you haven't done your medical yet, which from day of medical, the bloods take a week to come back. So about a week to finalise if not referred. If medicals referred they can take 3 months to finalise. Dont waste your money on the premium service.
Guest51810
Honestly wouldnt go for the premium service
Guest
I'd just go for the standard service tbh. Don't think its worth paying extra. You are not in a massive hurry and they do get them done within the timeframe. Mine was back within about 10 days.
nancy and paul
Great advice guys may as well go for the standard and save some cash got my Medicals booked in for next week didn't realise it took a week for the blood results so should tie both in about the same time then.
