Reminds me of when I went to the UK for a holiday in 1967...The ship we were on, 'The Arcadia' called in at Colombo, Sri Lanka, or Ceylon, as it was then. We, a group of us, 6 blokes and 6 sheilas, were walking in the city and were accosted many times by young to middle aged Sri Lankan men asking the girls to sell their lipsticks. They were offering up to £3 a tube!! One of the girls had 5 tubes, as she had heard of this and made a week's wages in 5 minutes' worth of 'haggling.'' Cheers, Bobj.
