what to do after arrival in Perth

So we arrived here in Feb 2013 and have done all the normal paper work( ie. Medicare,centrelink doc`s,bank,job,school oh and found a house to rent). Did i forget some thing as i was just talking to some friends and they have said that they signed in to WA. I had just throught that as i have done all of the above it would be known where i am and what we are doing.

What other things have i missed out?

If anyone can help me here it would be great

I don't know what they mean by 'signed into WA'. You could change to an Oz driver's license. It reduces the amount of excess you pay on most policies and is useful as i.d.

We are also wanting to move to Perth. When I was looking on the WA website I came across this info

You do need to register your arrival if you are in WA on a state sponsored visa, but it is very quick and simple to do. You just go along to their office in the CBD with your documents and that is it. The list of what you need is on the WA website. It doesn't even have to be the primary applicant who turns up and does it, as long as they have the primary applicants passport and visa documentation and driving license.
