My friend recommended this to me: http://www.backpackeraccommodationsydney.com.au/ I got my visa through Visa First & they are giving me 3 nights free stay in a hostel when I arrive, not sure what one yet. I might stay in a hostel for about 3/4weeks until I find a room in a shared house, as I plan on doing a full year in Sydney.
