MARYROSE02
I think Burleigh is OK. I like Tweed Heads on the border of NSW (Twin Towns with Coolangatta. )
calNgary
I like Currumbin, Kirra and Collangatta, great beaches and not as busy as other good spots on the coast.. I dont think there is too many if any 'too avoid' areas, obviously Surfers in the tourist hub and normally packed out, part of Nerang are a tad scruffy etc etc.. To live, i like Tallai and Mudgeeraba. Springbrook national park is beautiful and worth a drive up for the views. Going hinterland you have O Reillys via Canungra this is anther great place to visit although the road up can be a bit daunting. Mt Tamborine is another lovely place with hill top walk and beautiful rain forest scenery, Thunderbird park at Tamborine has a few activities on offer too. You have the theme parks (worth buying a family pass rather than just paying for the day),and Currumbin Zoo, there is the fruit farm just over the border in NSW, they do tours and have some weird and wacky fruit, we found it a good family activity for a dull day.. One things for sure, you wont get bored ,lol, hope this helps a bit Cal x
