jimbobandrachel Posted February 6, 2008 Share Posted February 6, 2008 Hi Me and my partner are going to Melbourne in June for me to study, but my girlfriend is worried that prospective employers might be put off by her 20 hours per week work limitation. Has anybody been in this position and if so, how did you find the whole experience from arrival in Melbourne to securing your first jobs. Rachel has seen loads of jobs on offer in her current field and they all pay more than what she gets in the UK. However all these jobs are full time, so she's soncerned that she may struggle to get the work she wants unless a company is willing to sponsor her. Rachel intends to approach Recruitment Consultants nearer the time, but if anyone out there has been in a similar position, we'd love to hear from you.
